Discussion ‘Archaeological heritage in the conditions of military conflicts in Ukraine’

On May 16, a panel discussion “Archaeological heritage in the conditions of military conflicts in Ukraine” was held at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The speakers were scientists and teachers of the Department of Archaeology and Museum Studies Pavlo Shydlovskyi and Yevhen Synytsia.

As part of the discussion, legislative aspects in the field of preservation of archaeological heritage, the current state of the monument registration system, scientific and public initiatives in the field of heritage preservation were discussed. Problematic issues and ways of solving them in the legal field and in practice are separately indicated.

The audience mainly consisted of students of the Faculty of History of Taras Shevchenko National University and representatives of a number of public organizations.
