NEENAWA

SNF-SCOPES project “Network in Eastern European Neolithic and Wetland Archeology for the improvement of field techniques and dating methods” (NEENAWA) is a joint project between countries: Ukraine and Switzerland.
It is important to note that the conference was attended by researchers from different countries, not only from the above, but also from Poland, Greece, Germany, Latvia and Macedonia.
The aim of the NEENAWA project was to create a scientific network in the field of Neolithic and wetland archeology and to transfer knowledge from Switzerland, as one of the world’s leading countries in this field, to the countries participating in Eastern Europe. Another aspect was the focus on improving archaeological research techniques (mainly underwater archeology / water protection / diving documentation) and methods of learning about underwater archeology, including dendrochronology.
